Dr Kousar Bakshi hails from Singpora Klaan village of Baramulla district in North Kashmir. Dr Kousar Bakshi is Managing Director of what he believes is the fastest growing Health care establishment of J&K, setup in Handwara. In a continued exclusive Conversation with Kashmir Patriot reporter Qazi Syed Shafeeq, Dr.Bakshi shared his vision and goals of how he plans to go ahead with his entrepreneurship besides creating employment opportunities for youth.

Here are the excerpts from the exclusive conversation:

Reporter: What are the future goals and do you want to expand?

Dr. Kousar Bakshi: I want to give good news to our youth that we are going to open a college in which we will offer different medical courses, especially technical courses. The college would be another feather into the cap to provide employment opportunities to the educated youth. My endeavor will be to provide employment to around five thousand people in the next couple of years. Apart from that youngsters with unique business ideas can come forward and we will support them to realize it. My dream is to create entrepreneurs like myself who further contribute in different ways. We have a good talent in Kashmir among youth; they need to be empowered and to provide good support.

Reporter: How do you carry your employment policy to secure your employees?

Dr. Kousar Bakshi: Here in Kashmir, there is huge insecurity among youth about private jobs and it is very difficult to get a government job nowadays.  We at Asif Memorial Health care have followed the wages system as per the norms and labour policies. We are duly following an organized system of employee pension and retirement schemes. We have also kept financial securities to the next kin of an employee in case of any untoward. I believe, an employee is the strength of any company and all entrepreneurs should take special care of their employees.

Reporter: You at Asif Memorial Health care hold sports activities for youth, what is the intention?

Dr. Kousar Bakshi: Yes, it is definitely in my plan to carry on and even so far we have contributed a little to sports activities here for the youth. We will continue to do so. I am now mulling to buy a piece of land for a playground where children can play their favorite games. I want to make this playground different where players can play day and night. I also want to make a cricket academy, where players can be trained with qualified coaches. I have also taken up the plans with the relevant people from the field to make it happen.

Reporter: What is your message to youth who are stressed, negative and discouraged?

Dr. Kousar Bakshi: This is an important question you ask me as a number of youth are negative with life and discouraged and want to get rid of their life. Huge number of youth are suffering from anxiety, many turned into drug addicts. I believe they are very fast in life, and have less patience. Today youth want to become millionaires overnight. They want to achieve their goals in a hurry, which is not possible and practical. They need to understand that it needs hard work and dedication after you set your goals to achieve it. I made my journey with only eight thousand rupees in my pocket. It was possible only when I worked hard and had patience to achieve my goal. I want to tell the youth out there that the more failures you get in business, the more you learn for ultimate success.
