Srinagar: Today a press conference was held In light of recent developments surrounding the conclusion of seat-sharing talks within the INDIA alliance, said AAP statement adding that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has purportedly devised a grand scheme to disrupt the alliance by targeting prominent leaders, particularly Arvind Kejriwal (AK) of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP).

Statement issued said that Over the past two days, reports have surfaced indicating significant progress in the negotiations between AAP and Congress, raising anticipation for an imminent announcement of a seat-sharing arrangement across multiple states. The prospect of this alliance has evidently unsettled the BJP, leading to the unveiling of what can only be described as a “mega-plan” aimed at breaking the coalition.

Alarming revelations suggest that senior AAP leaders have been subjected to coercive messages, insinuating dire consequences if the party persists in its alliance with Congress. Specifically, it has been alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s administration intends to utilize the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) as a tool to target AK. This purported strategy follows a pattern of relentless investigations initiated by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and the CBI against AK over the past two years in connection with the fabricated Delhi liquor scam.

Despite undergoing extensive scrutiny, including over 1000 raids, 7 summons by the ED, numerous notices by the CBI, and a nine-hour interrogation session, no substantive evidence has been uncovered against AK. Nonetheless, with the impending conclusion of INDIA alliance talks and the looming specter of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, it appears that BJP’s desperation has reached new heights.

The crux of the alleged plan involves the issuance of a notice under Section 41A of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC) by the CBI, followed swiftly by the arrest of AK by both the CBI and the ED. However, it has been implied that if AAP withdraws from the INDIA alliance, these coercive measures may be averted.

AAP stands resolute in its commitment to the people of India and its partnership with the INDIA alliance, undeterred by threats or intimidation tactics orchestrated by political adversaries. The party reiterates its unwavering resolve to continue championing the interests of the nation and remains steadfast in its pursuit of a brighter future for all citizens.

In light of these concerning developments, AAP calls for transparency, accountability, and the upholding of democratic principles, urging authorities to refrain from politicizing investigative agencies for narrow partisan gains.
