SRINAGAR: Bhartiya Janata Party state spokesman Altaf Thakur while mocking at the State Congress party’s claims that they will unfurl the tri-colour as a politically motivated move aimed at enacting a drama to gain political mileage in the election year. Thakur said that perhaps Congress party was suffering from the memory loss and doesn’t remember that in 1990’s when militancy was at its peak, the then tallest leader of BJP Murli Manohar Joshi who was accompanied by present PM Narendra Modi who unfurled tri-colour in the middle of Lal Chowk.

In a statement issued here, Thakur said that PM Narendra Modis peace gesture by flying to Islamabad was only to covet a message that terrorism won’t be allowed. But in Congress, he said that Pakistan PM decides the fate of Navjot Singh Sidhu and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi as Congress is not able to set their own house in order.

Thakur said that BJP has been working hard in tough conditions in Kashmir just to keep the tri colour high and that time has proven already that BJP is fast gaining ground across the three regions of J&K.

He said by claiming that it will show they Kashmir was an integral part of India congress is trying to befool masses and that the fact remains it has been rejected by the people of the State for its divisive politics.

Thakur said that Congress was responsible for mass rigging in 1987 polls that resulted in the menace of militancy. He said those whose own houses are made of glass shouldn’t raise fingers at others and enact drama for petty political gains. (PTK)
