JKEDI holds awareness camp at GDC Sopore

BARAMULLA: In an effort to reach out the unemployed youth of the District Baramulla besides to have an interaction with the Commerce and Management Students, JKEDI District Office Baramulla today held an awareness Camp cum Workshop in the Conference Hall of the Degree College Sopore.

Around 80 participants were present in the Conference Hall which included students, staff members and unemployed youth of the District.

Project Manager, JKEDI, Arif Ahmad Khan, who was the chief speaker on the occasion stressed upon the employment generation in private sector and opting entrepreneurship as first career option. He said that the youth have to work hard to achieve this goal.

He also informed the participants about the role played by the JKEDI for Entrepreneurship Development and hand holding of unemployed youth of the State.

Mohammad Nauman, District Nodal Officer, JKEDI Baramulla while addressing the participants said that there is a need to bring change in the mindset of the people in order to become employers rather than striving for becoming employees.

He also said that the institute is committed to groom the sense of entrepreneurship in the valley and the doors of District Office are always open for everyone seeking help for becoming self-employed and opting Entrepreneurship as their life career.
