Youth killed after forces open fire in Batamaloo, one injured

SRINAGAR: A youth was killed and another injured after a BSF opens fire in Batamaloo area of Srinagar for unknown reasons. Residents said that BSF that was passing through the locality opened fire.

They said, the gun shot hit a youth who has been rushed to the hospital. Hospital sources said one of them was actually brought dead. “We have another youth who is injured,” the source said.

The firing incident has triggered panic in Batamaloo. Reports said that people have closed their business and are on the road. Reports added that the incident triggered tensions adding that at  few places, there were tear smoke shells being fired at people.

However, police is yet to confirm the exact details of the incident.
