SRINAGAR : A woman allegedly dies due to medical negligence at Rajouri district hospital today. Soon after the news of woman’s death spread, the attendants’ stages protest against the hospital authorities.
Reports said that a woman Sadia Kousar, resident of Badhoon village, was brought around 6 pm into the District Hospital Rajouri after she has some medical complications.
It adds that the doctors in emergency ward examined her. Latter she was referred to the gynecology ward for further treatment. Ironically the doctor is the gynecology ward was not present, which led to the further complication of the patient.
“Staff of the Gynecology ward repeatedly called the doctors but the doctor did not respond”, said a relative of the deceased. They alleged that the woman died due to the absence of the doctor adding that would have been there a doctor, her life may have been saved.
Meanwhile the protesting attendant and relative were assured action against the erring doctor by the police officials who reached spot to pacify them. Police also registered a case against the hospital staff on the complaint of family of deceased.
Immediately soon after the death of the woman, the doctor was suspended by the district administration and ordered an enquiry into the matter.
