SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti met Prime Minister Narendra Modi at 7 Lok Kalyan Marg, Delhi on Monday.

Mehbooba said that prime minister has repeatedly said that he would follow Vajpayee ji’s footsteps, whose policy is of reconciliation not confrontation.
“Earlier, talks were held at the time of Vajpayee sahab. LK Advani was deputy PM then. We have talked with Hurriyat and others,” said Mehbooba after meeting PM.
“There are some youths who are disillusioned, others are being incited. Will work out something in Unified command meet tomorrow. We need to take it forward from the place Vajpayee sahab left otherwise there is no chance of any improvement,” Mehbooba said.
She added that let us control the situation first because talks cannot be held amidst bullets and stone-pelting.
