A constable with the Lucknow police was placed under suspension today after a video of him mercilessly thrashing a rickshaw-puller went viral on social media.
The video shot late on Friday night, shows one constable Anand Pratap Singh beating the victim in full public view on the side of a running street.
In the video, constable Singh can be seen dragging the rickshaw-puller by his hair before kicking him in the stomach several times.
