Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan took charge of the nation as its 22nd prime minister today. The swearing-in ceremony which was long awaited, also saw otherwise very confident Imran Khan being nervous and overwhelmed.
In a traditional grey sherwani, Imran fumbled over some Urdu words while taking the oath. President Mamnoon Hussain, who administrated the oath, corrected Imran when he said ‘roz-e-qiyaadat’ (day of leadership) instead of ‘roz-e-qiyaamat’ (day of judgement). Imran smiled sheepishly as he struggled with a few other words of the oath.
