Pattan: Today in the morning hours huge gathering of Shia Community from Mirgund, Rambail, Matipora and its adjoing area protested and blocked Srinagar Muzaffarbad Highway at Mirgund Pattan
Whereas the protestes were demanding release of their leader Molana Masroor Abass Ansari who has been arrested by the authorities yesterday
Whereas protesters while talking to media said that Molana is a patient and need proper medical care but the authorities have put under custody
The protesters raising slogans against the authorities said, that durring the month of Moharram they have arrested our leader which they will not tolerate
Meanwhile SDPO Pattan, SHO Pattan and DO Mirgund reached on spot and assured the protesters that their demand will be taken to higher-ups as soon as possible
Whereas after the assurence of Said Officers Protesters disbursed peacefully and traffic was restored on Srinagar Muzaffarbad Highway
