Srinagar: Senior Congress leader Kadfeen Chowdary Wednesday called for immediate and time-bound regularization of all daily wagers, casual labourers, ITI trained, CP, and contractual employees.
“Holding successive regimes responsible for the appalling condition of daily wagers, causal and need based workers, Kadfeen called for concrete measures to regularize their services in a time bound manner.
He took a strong exception to the government’s ‘lackadaisical’ approach towards their plight. He said that the successive governments have been making deceptive commitments to buy time and avoid the crisis.

Kadfeen Chowdary said that it is apathetic on part of the government that instead of holding parleys with the workers on strike, it adopted coercive methods to ignore their plight. He stressed on the need for a regularization policy under which all these workers are absorbed in different departments in a time-bound manner. (CNS)
