Doctors protest against non-availability of PPE kits at JVC Bemina

Srinagar :  Victor Force Tuesday donated Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) kits at district hospital Kulgam.
Defense sources told Kashmir News Trust that General Commanding Officer Victor Force Major General A.Sengupta visited district hospital Kulgam and handed over 16 PPE kits at Medical Superintendent Dr Muzaffar Ahmed.
The hospital authorities thanked Victor Force for this kind gesture. Member Parliament Nazir Ahmed Laway was also present on the occasion.
Meanwhile, the doctors and Para-medic staff at JVC SKIMS Bemina staged a protest against the non-availability of PPE kits. The protesters told KNT that they are at risk and can’t examine Covid-19 suspects in absence of PPE kits.
“We can’t fight this Covid-19 infection in absence of Protection Equipment (PPE) kits. We have been left on the mercy of God,” they said.
After the assurance given by the Principal JVC SKIMS, Bemina, Dr Reyaz Untoo, that PPE kits will be made available to them, the protesters dispersed peacefully. (KNT)
