Lauds PM Modi’s vision to bring people closer to his heart

New Delhi: Lauding the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for hosting people from far-flung villages on national events, Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday said that “Vibrant Village” programme is a step towards reducing ‘dil ki doori’ between Delhi and rural population. Addressing a group of sarpanchs, deputy sarpanchs, women entrepreneurs, and students from remote areas who were invited as special guests for Republic Day celebrations, Shah said, “When the Prime Minister personally invites people from distant areas to participate in national celebrations and acts as a host, it sends a strong message of unity and inclusion.

It reflects his desire to bring people closer to his heart.”He said that the “Vibrant Villages” programme is a significant step toward bridging the emotional and developmental gap between Delhi and the far-flung villages of India.

“ This programme is not only about building roads or infrastructure—it is about reducing the ‘dil ki doori’ (emotional distance) between Delhi and your villages,” said Shah. “This initiative marks the beginning of a shift in mindset and how we approach development in remote areas.”

He noted that the programme aims to improve connectivity while fostering a sense of inclusion among residents of far-off regions.

“When roads are constructed, they reduce physical distances, but this programme goes beyond infrastructure to enhance communication and bring people closer to the heart of the nation,” Shah added—(KNO)
