DGP says boy killed, two girls injured in ‘crossfire’
SRINAGAR: Two militants were killed an encounter at Shopian area of south Kashmir on Wednesday. DGP SP Vaid confirmed two militants were killed in Shopian operation.
“In an encounter today at Chaigund Shopian, two militants have been neutralised and weapons have been recovered. Unfortunately one boy was also killed in the cross-fire and two ladies sustained injuries. Search is still going on”, DGP tweeted.
Meanwhile, army’s Srinagar based defence spokesperson Col Rajesh Kalia also confirmed the killings to GNS.
Earlier, a 17-year-old boy was killed and two girls were injured in forces action near encounter site amid clashes in Chaigund village of Shopian.
