Srinagar: Militant outfit Ansar Ghazwatul Hind (AGH) Saturday while asking media houses not to publish any report related to them without their consent has refuted the reports that two militants killed in South Kashmir recently were associated with the outfit.
On June 11 this month, two militants Shariq Ahmed Wagay of Awneera Shopian and Siyar Ahmed Bhat of Machwo Kulgam were killed in an encounter at Awneera village of Shopian. Police have said that both the militants were affiliated with AGH.
Spokesperson AGH, Abu Obaid Hanzallah in a statement to news agency CNS said that these militants were not part of their organization. He appealed media houses not to publish anything about the organization without their confirmation.
“AGH is fighting for Muslims in the subcontinent including India. We have no affiliation with any group or organization including ISIS,” he said. (CNS)
