Srinagar : Jammu Kashmir witnessed two fresh deaths due to Covid-19 infection on Saturday. Both were elderly persons, one hailing from Kashmir another from Jammu.
Medical Superintendent Chest Disease Hospital Srinagar, Dr Salim Tak told news agency KNT that an elderly person above 70 person from South Kashmir’s Shopian district was admitted in the hospital and this morning he breathed his lost. He said the deceased was a Covid-19 patient, besides suffering from various ailments like asthma and high blood pressure.
Another elderly person above 60 years died in Medical College this morning in Jammu.
Medical Superintendent Government Medical College Jammu Dr Dara Singh told KNT that female patient from Miran Sahab was suffering from different ailments besides having ‘Pleural effusion’, sometimes referred to as “water on the lungs,” is the build-up of excess fluid between the layers of the pleura outside the lungs.
With these two fresh deaths, the tally has reached to 38 among which 33 deaths took place in Kashmir Valley. (KNT)
