SRINAGAR: Two Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel were wounded in a militant attack in Newa village of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Monday, reported GK.
A police official said the militants fired a UBGL grenade at 183 Battalion CRPF around 10 pm in Newa village.
The militants, he said, opened indiscriminate fire at the camp following the grenade blast, leaving two CRPF personnel wounded.
He said that both the personnel sustained bullet injuries and were shifted to district hospital Pulwama.
The official identified the injured CRPF men as Santosh Bharti and Amit Kumar. (GK)
