SRINAGAR: The transfer order issued yesterday by the directorate of school education has triggered confusion and resentment among the teaching staff.
The teaching staff alleges that the transfer list of have been made without the consultation of the concerned Zonal Education Officers (ZEO) who knows topography of their zone.
They said that the transfer orders were listed by the innovation cell of the directorate adding that the teachers who had influence managed convenient postings leaving non-influential ones to face the brunt.
Many teachers also raised eye brows against the order which according to them was supposed to be issued during three months winter to avoid any inconvenience and confusion on the first day of school reopening after winter break.
They said that even the order triggers confusion among the teachers who could not reach to schools where they were posted results in affecting the student’s academics on the very first day.
Talking to PTK, Abdul Qayoom Wani, EJAC leader said that the transfer process should be completed in winters. “Schools were closed for three months. If it would have been completed in the winters there would have been no confusion or effect on the academics of the students”.
He said that the directorate has also removed the list from its official website soon after it was uploaded. He said that it clearly show the there is something wrong with the transfer list. He adds that this has made confusion among the teaching staff whether the order is intact or not.
Wani told that the directorate should have taken advice from the zonal officers as they know the topography of their zone. “If they would have taken into consideration before making the transfer list, there would have been no confusions”.
