Tendulkar sanctions 40 lakh for Kupwara School

SRINAGAR: World-renowned Cricketer Sachin Tendulkar has sanctioned over Rs 40 Lakh from the MP Local Area Development (MPLAD) funds for construction of building for Imperial Educational Institute Drugmulla in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.

The funds have been stipulated for construction of 10 rooms and four laboratories and toilets of the school which has nearly 1000 students on roll.

Taking to GNS, the management of the school thanked Sachin Tendulkar for the endeavor, underlining, that the money would suffice the accommodation, laboratory and the other requirements of the school.

Chairman Ghulam Mohammad (GM) and Managing Director Altaf Ahmad Shah along with the management body of the school respectively thanked Tendulkar and said that the funds would be used for the construction and other purposes of the school.

They said that the endeavor was truly commendable as it was necessary to have better classrooms and other facilities for the students. (GNS)
