SRINAGAR : The subscribers of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) from Pattan area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district complain against the Telephone Exchange of Pattan which according to them remains often defunct.
They said that the telephone exchange has given them tough time due to its defunct service.
Subscribers said that the said BSNL exchange is defunct from many months as a result BSNL phones are not working in the area. They said they have many times visited the authorities for its restoration but till date our pleas had only met to deaf ears.
Subscribers said that they have been suffering from heads on, while as authorities are not interesting to solve the snags which it has developed.
Meanwhile, subscribers accuse authorities for giving lame excuses. A BSNL subscriber alleged that whenever they try to know the reason of defunct, the officials at the exchange always that the exchange has fault at its Sopore station.
They said that despite its defunct service since long, time and again they are being produced hefty bills to pay.
When asked, Abdul Rasheed, incharge officials of the Pattan exchange told PTK, that there is some technical sang at Sopore station which they are trying to fix.
