Mendhar : An eighteen-year-old teenage boy from Tain Mankote village of Mendhar was killed on Thursday evening in Pakistan shelling, officials said.
Officials told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that on Thursday evening, at around 7 PM, when people in villages were busy in Iftaar amid fasting, Pakistan violated ceasefire as its Army started mortar shelling in Krishna Ghati sector and Mankote area of sector came under shelling.
“Civil population of five villages in the area came under shelling,” officials said.
An eighteen year-old-boy identified as Gulfraz Ahmed, son of Mohammad Rashid of Tain Mankote village got injured when a mortar shell exploded near their house and its splinters pierced his chest.
“Boy died on the spot.” police officials confirmed. They added that intermittent firing and shelling is going on in the area –(KNO)
