Kupwara: Veteran Politician from Kupwara Haji Peer Abdul Rashid passed away on Friday evening. Peer Abdul Rashid was Uncle of PDP Spokesperson Tahir Sayeed. His Nimaz Jinazah was offered today on Saturday at Awoora Kupwara. Peer Abdul Rashid was a known political leader of Kupwara who played a very important role for the socio-economic development of his area. Over more than four decades of his political career, Peer Rashid served people and his party in different capacities, he was the long time district secretary of J&K National Conference for Kupwara District.
