Jammu: In continuation with their efforts to reach out and serve the needy and poor people living in far flung and remote areas, Swami Vishwatmanand Saraswati (SVS) Trust Clinic, under the supervision of Atal Pethadeshwar Rajguru Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Shri Shri 1008 Shri Swami Vishwatmanand Saraswati ji Maharaj, took a good initiative for the welfare of general public of this border belt and hold a free medical camp at SVS degree college here today in which free medicines were distributed to around 3 to 4000 patients.

Various specialist have been invited from different parts of the country as well as J&K UT in this camp.Some of them who attended the camp were Dr.Sushil Sharma, HOD, Cardiology, GMC, Jammu, Dr.Ashwani Sharma, Onco & Robotic Surgeon, Director, BLK Max Super Speciality Hospital, New Delhi ( Cancer Specialist), Dr.Nazar Ali Choudhary, Cardio Physician, Dr.Bharat Bhushan Bassan, MS, ENT, FHNS, Head & Neck Onco Surgeon, Dr.Amrit Pal Singh, Ortho Physician, Dr.Poonam Jagiasi, GynaecologIst, Mumbai, Dr.Monica Sharma, MD Ayurveda, Punjab, Dr.Raghuvir Singh, M.D Physician, Dr.Vidushi Badyal, HOD, ENT, GMC , Rajouri, Dr.Shyam Singh, M.D Cardiophysician, Punjab, Dr.D.K Kapoor, M.D Physician, Dr.Sourab Gupta, Dental Surgeon, Dr.Shabaz Khan, M.D Physician, Dr.Niti Pal Singh, M.S Ortho, Dr.Kunal Sharma, M.D Medicine, Dr.Sonali Sharma, M.D Pathology, Dr. Himani Jandial, M.D Pharmocology, Jammu and other paramedics staff members and from SVS paramedical college Sunderbani. Also, free investigation was done on Blood pressure checking, Blood sugar testing, Hemogram, ECG, Lipid Profile, Blood Group testing, Body Mass Index and Bone Mass Density by team of experts

Speaking on the occasion, Shri Swamiji said that such types of camps are organised by the SVS trust on regular intervals after the completion or during various religious programmes (Kathas) in different parts of the country and states as well which helps the needy and poor people who can not afford the expenses for medicines.”Such camps help them to identify their diseases and problems on time and then can take necessary treatment accordingly”, added Swamiji.While interacting with the patients, Dr.Sushil Sharma stated that one such area where preventive strategies can make major breakthrough is the regulation of high Blood Pressure.BP is a major public health problem in India and its prevalence is rapidly increasing among both urban and rural populations.Also, one should stay stress free because it’s a good tonic for healthy heart.A heartfelt tribute was also given to Late Dr.Shalinder Sharma, HOD, Ortho, GMC , Rajouri by the group of doctors.He remained the parts of such camps earlier organised by the trust from time to time

Such type of camps should be arranged from time to time because various poor patients can not spend huge amount on medicines and also can not bear long travelling expenses for their treatment. Therefore such camps help them for proper guidence and as far as myself is concerned, i am very happy with the services provided by each attendent in this camp whether it would be ECG check up or BP and Sugar. I thanks SVS Trust for organizing such a wonderful camp of public importance”, said Mr.Irfan, a local student.
