University says will decide the matter shortly
Srinagar: Kashmir University is yet to conduct examination for the scores of students from Banihal area who had missed their examination paper on in the last week of December last year due to heavy snowfall.
These students mostly females were supposed to appear in the 5th semester Botony paper but failed to make it up to the examination centres at Degree College Anantnag as trains didn’t chug on track due to heavy snowfall in Qazigund area.
“We were unable to reach at the examination centres due to snowfall as traffic and tranis didn’t ply that unfortunate day. Authorities at Kashmir University instead of postponing the examination paper conducted the same, thus ignoring those who lived in far flung areas,” said Shugufta to Kashmir News Trust.
The students said that they are frustrated and disappointed. They appealed Kashmir University to look into the matter and save their career.
When contacted Controller Examination said that Varsity will take a decision soon in this regard. (KNT)
