SRINAGAR: Students from different schools and colleges of Srinagar today protested near press enclave of Srinagar against the persecution of Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar.
Huge number of students from Government Degree Colleges and Higher Secondary schools of Srinagar protested at Press enclave in Srinagar and condemned the killings and persecution of Rohingya Muslims who are being getting cut down by Buddhist- majority.
The students took out a peaceful protest rally, carrying placards and banners seeking end to the genocide.
The Students urged the Muslim countries to work out a joint strategy and pool their resources to help the victims, even majority of people have taken to the social networking sites to condemn the “massacre” of Rohingya Muslims
Meanwhile, a meeting of various religious organisations held in Srinagar called for observing Friday (September 8) as “solidarity day” with the Rohingya Muslims.
The students shouted anti UNO slogan and other Human Rights Commissions for maintaining a criminal salience, not playing the role for what they have been created for, apart from not proving any sort of assistance to these needy people who have its great requirement at present.
