Students protests Pulwama incident, clashes trigger shutdown in Sopore

SOPORE: Clashes erupts in Sopore town after student protests against the forces’ action on students at Pulwama Degree College last week.

Reports said that the students of Degree College Sopore staged protests against the forces’ action which resulted in clashes. Reports added that the security forces deployed in the area resorted to teargas shelling and baton-charge to disperse the protesting students.

Meanwhile clashes also triggered shutdown in the area, reports said. Pertinently around sixty students of Degree College Pulwama were injured after forces resorted to pellet firing and teargas shelling to break up protests last week.
