SRINAGAR: The students of the Government Higher Secondary School Gund in Kangan area of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Saturday stages a protest demonstration against the dearth of the teaching staff in the school.
They said that the dearth of staff has affected their studies. The protesting students of class 11th and 12th, of Arts, Medical and Non-medical streams blocked the Srinagar -Sonamarg highway at Gund to demand posting of the teaching staff.
The affecting students said that their academics have been badly suffered. They said that there are subject having no teacher available to teach them.
Meanwhile the Tehsildar Gund Firdous Qadri along with SHO Gund Khurshid Ahmed rushed to the spot to pacify the agitated students.
The officials assured protesting students that the matter would be taken up with the concerned officials for immediate redressal.
