#SouthKashmir: Forces launch CASO in Shopian

Shopian: Government forces on Wednesday launched cordon and search operation in two villages of Shopian in south Kashmir.

Locals from Dearpora village of Shopian said that a joint team of forces launched cordon and search operation in the wee hours of Wednesday in the village which ended by 9:45 without any contact with militants.

A similar cordon is underway at Malikgund village of the district.

The CASOs were launched a day after militants gunned down four policemen and decamped with their weapons in Shopian.
