DSEK summons private school Principal

Srinagar: Directorate of School Education Kashmir has directed a private school management to appear before it to clarify on what grounds it discharged a student from school for purchasing notebooks in open market.

As reported earlier a private school Fayaz Educational Institute, located at Naik Bagh Nowgam in the outskirts of Srinagar city discharged a student from the school after his father purchased notebooks for him in open market.

The father of the class 8th student Moulim Javaid, a resident of Methan Chanapora had registered a complaint before Directorate of School Education Kashmir demanding stern action against school for violation of norms as well as converting education centre into a money-minting centre.

On Friday Joint Director School Education Kashmir shot a letter to the Principal Fayaz Educational Institute directing him to appear before him. “This office is in receipt of complaint lodged by one Sajad Ahmed Dar against the school management. In this context you are advised to attend this office on November 5 (Monday), 2018 at 11 AM sharp before the Joint Director School Education Kashmir. In case of any default strict action as warranted under rules shall be initiated against the school in terms of J&K Educational Act 2002,” the communiqué reads.

Pertinently, the Sajad Ahmed Dar, the uncle of Class 8th student Moulim Javaid approached Directorate of School Education Kashmir after his nephew was asked to leave the school when he didn’t purchase notebooks from the shop, run and managed by school owners themselves in the premises of their Institution.
