Srinagar:No fresh exchange of firing has been reported after a gunfight broke out between militants and goverment forces in Sangran area of South Kashmir’s Shopian district on early morning of Monday.
Reports reaching GNS said that there was complete silence from last 3 hours after some exchange of firing took place between militants and goverment forces early morning.
Offcial Sources told GNS that after initial brief exchange of firing between militants and goverment forces there was complete silence from both sides and it’s believed that militants might have escaped taking advantage of darkness.
As this report was filed reportedly government forces were leaving the encounter site.(GNS)
