Shopian : A militant has been killed in an encounter that raged between government forces and militants in Narwani village of Imamsahib area in shopian district.

A senior police official confirmed to KNO that one militant has been killed so far and search operation is underway in the area.

Earlier encounter broke out in the area after forces including 44 RR cordoned off the area amid specific inputs about the presence of militants in the area.(KNO)
