Sheikh Asif, who is CEO of Thames Infotech a renowned Manchester, UK based IT company has recently Launched SOAN menu. Sheikh Asif has not only made Kashmir proud with his extraordinary creativity. Rather he has made Batamaloo area of Srinagar to be known internationally.
Earlier Srinagar is known for beauty but now on wards it would be known for creativity and Intelligence as well. Sheikh Asif specializes in web designing. He also provides online coaching for entrepreneurship, digital marketing, website development, startup and more.
Sheikh Asif has always dreamed helping people to create more and more entrepreneurs. So he started providing classes to students for free in 2018 but unfortunately he didn’t get the response he was expecting but from 2020 when the pandemic starts Sheikh Asif trained more than 1000 students and helped around 100 struggling businesses in lock down to bring there business online.
During Partial Lock down When Asif visited his nearby restaurant he said “I was puzzled to see that the protocols of covid were not being maintained properly. The Same menu is being passed to each client and being used without being sanitized. And practically it is not possible to sanitize both, hand and menu each time when it is being passed. So there an idea of a digital menu started incubating into my mind and I started working on it and finally on successful execution I announced its launch on 16th jan 2022!
With his recently launched website named soanmenu.com, he is helping all hotels and restaurants to upload their menu on the website and get a simple digital menu in form of QR code for free. It has been precisely designed as per the covid protocols like social distancing, online orders and many others. which will not only help to generate revenue in covid, but also be a major step towards digitalization.
“Soan” is a Kashmiri word meaning “Our”. So this idea of Sheikh Asif will not only help in maintaining the COVID protocol, but it will also help hotels and restaurants to digitize and take their business online. This digital menu will be in the form of a QR code.
By simply scanning this QR code, Customers can fetch all menus under the roof, while dining Customers do not need to call a waiter; rather, they can place their order digitally by simply scanning and ordering. No need to download any app or go through any typical website. Just scan and order. This will further let them choose the option of online payment if they desire to, further options like dine-in/Pickup and Delivery are also available.
Sheikh Asif recently won the Best Entrepreneur of the Year award organized by The Fireboxx Bangalore, where not only his ability, creativity and intelligence is appreciated also his humble nature has been complimented.
