Srinagar : President Jammu & Kashmir Peoples Movement Shah Faesal today called on J&K Governor Satya Pal Malik at Raj Bhavan Srinagar and discussed wide range of issues with him.
Shah Faesal briefed the Governor regarding the plight of political detainees shifted to jails outside the State and sought his intervention in seeking their immediate release.
While discussing the current political situation in the State, Shah Faesal requested the Governor to completely withdraw the Highway Ban order as it had put millions of people to extreme hardships and alienated Kashmiris further.
Faesal suggested that the Governor’s Administration should ensure justice with the unemployed educated youth of the State by providing them employment opportunities and ensuring transparency in recruitment process.
Shah Faesal assured the Governor that JKPM will make all sacrifices to uphold the dignity of the people of the state and work for their progress and wellbeing.
Pertinently, it was Shah Faesal’s first meeting with the Governor since he quit IAS to start his new political outfit J&K Peoples Movement. (KNS)
