Employees seek Governor’s attention

Srinagar: The backlog candidates of foundation course belonging to State cadre Civil Secretariat Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday demanded one time relaxation in their backlog paper.

A delegation of employees told JKNS said they are working in different departments in civil secretariat Jammu as junior assistants and senior assistants and have completed the Secretariat Foundation Course.

“The Public Service Commission (PSC) had conducted the examination for Secretariat Assistant Course in 2018 and the result of the same was declared in 2019,” they said.

“Unfortunately, some candidates of the Civil Secretariat have not qualified the same examination due to backlog in one paper by the margin of one or two marks,” they said.

The employees said that they had then requested then Controller Examination JKPSC for rechecking of their backlog paper but all the process proved futile as they were not given the stature marks.

“We have again submitted application forms for the Departmental Examination vide notification number 001-PSC/Exam/2019/14 dated 01-01-2020 and in the year March 2019 since then no examination has been conducted by them, which has increased our misery,” the delegation said.

“We have requested the concerned authorities several times for conduct of the aforementioned examination but all in vain,” they complained.

The employees said they are lingering and are uncertain about our future.

“We request the concerned quarter for one time relaxation in favor of those who have one paper backlog in foundation course,” they demanded.

They requested the Lieutenant Governor Girish Chandra Murmu to take cognizance of the matter so that they have sign of relief. (JKNS)
