The house witnessed unprecedented scenes on Monday when opposition lawmakers sought a time-bound judicial commission to investigate the incidents of killings in 2016 summer unrest. They were reacting to the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti’s speech listing costs and consequences of the unrest.

Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti said that the situation that erupted in Kashmir after the killing of Burhan wani was “well organized” and “kids were used as shields.” She was responding to the opposition demand of making a statement on 2016 unrest.
