Srinagar: While continuing with its sterilization drive and WHO, prescribed chemical spraying drives, to tackle Corona virus threat under the complete supervision and proper monitoring of Commissioner SMC Gazanfar Ali, a review meeting in this regard was held in central office Karan Nagar.
According to statement issued to CNS, by the Corporation, various chemical spraying and sterilization drives that are being taken up across city at new different spots each day were reviewed at length.
It was informed in the meeting that SMC is conducting special sterilization drive and WHO recommended chemical spraying, after regular intervals at all the designated quarantine places in the city and in this regard Ward Officers are submitting timely report to the higher authorities.
Also ward officers of all the Municipal wards are completely monitoring the drives that are being conducted at five new different spots per day with a target of covering all the places including hospitals, schools, offices, banks, ATMS, and other important destinations gradually in each ward.
SMC has deputed a special sterilization squad along with machinery at Srinagar Airport and its adjoining areas who are conducting extensive sanitation combined with chemical spraying regularly from early morning till late hours.
On the directions of Gazanfar Ali five teams comprising of five members each, have been created and put on standby mode. They have been directed to remain present throughout the day in central office to meet any exigency. (CNS)
