SRINAGAR : The residents of Tengpora in North Kashmir’s Baramulla District on Saturday morning staged a protest blocked Naidkhai Hamray-Sopore road demanding bus service.
On early morning People of Tengpora and Gohal Chaku village staged a protest and blocked the main road that connects the Commuters to Baramulla, Sopore, Bandipora, Sumbal, naidkhai that disrupt the traffic movement .
“Our village was happy as the mini bus service was playing through Naidkhai-Magraypora-tengpora-Goushbugh-Hamray road but now the traffic movement is not playing through this route”, said a protester of the village.
“The vehicles choose another route and left two villages aside with that we have to face a lot of problems due to unavailability of traffic movement”, said another resident Ishfaq Ahamd.
“The said road have pathetic condition and fully pot holed and narrower to ply traffic movement, as we have always fear that if suddenly a little boy comes out from home, he collides with the bus said a driver who wishes his anonymity”, he added.
“We complain several times to the authorities to wide out the road and macdamdise it but they failed to do so”, said protesters of the village.
Scores of vehicles were stuck on the road and protests were going on when this report was filled. (PTK)
