Pattan 30, June : The inaugural cricket match of President’s night cosco cup was played under lights in Zindpeer sahib Stadium in north Kashmir’s pattan.
Reports said that the inaugural match was played between star eleven pattan and crescent goshbugh in which crescent goshbugh won the match by 14 runs, and danish kaloo declared man of the match for his allround performance.
According to reports, hundreds of cricket lover’s and audience were watching the night inaugural match which has been held first ever in Pattan.
The event was inaugurated by chairman MC pattan shri pritpal singh Oberoi, After inaugurating the event, Pritpal in his address said that sports have a positive and constructive role in our social and psychological development, adding that such events enable our youth to divert their attention towards positive pursuits.
He said that various initiatives are being taken to develop sports infrastructure so that more and more sports activities are promoted besides he assured of every possible assistance on part of the administration.
“We are very happy and this is the first time the night match under lights held in Pattan”, Organizers of the tournament Lateef ah ganie, showkat ah miya and mohd aslam said.
