Pre-Dawn Encounter breaks out in Bugam of Budgam

Srinagar : A Pre- Dawn Gunfight broke out between militants and government forces in Bugam Area of Chadoora in Central Kashmir’s Budgam District on Sunday.

Reports reaching GNS said that a joint team of Army’s 53RR and SOG Budgam launched a cordon and search operation in Bugam area.

A senior police officer told GNS that it was specific information about the presence of some militants in the area.

The officer further said that as the joint team of forces encircled the hiding spot the militants hiding there fired upon the forces triggering an encounter, the officer said.

As per the forces two to three militants are believed to be trapped.
