Police destroys poppy cultivation spread over 5 kanals in Central Kashmir’s Budgam

Budgam, : In order to become Central Kashmir’s Budgam free of drugs, Police along with officers of Excise department destroyed poppy cultivation at Naroo village of the district Budgam.

A police spokesperson said that a police party from Police Station Budgam along with officers of Excise Department destroyed poppy cultivation spread over 5 kanals of land at Naroo village and its adjacent areas.

Budgam Police earlier also destroyed poppy cultivation in multiple areas. They have requested people to come forward with any information regarding cultivation of contrabands in their neighborhood.

“Persons found indulging in drug peddling and cultivation of contraband substances shall be dealt with firmly as per law,” police spokesperson said. (KNT)
