‘Export being increased to boost economy of J&K people’

Srinagar, Oct 13 (KNO): Union Minister of State (MoS) for Commerce and Industries Anupriya Singh Patel Thursday said that the export from Jammu and Kashmir is being increased to boost the economy of people.

Talking to reporters on the sidelines of the function at Mammer village in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district, Patel said that some time back, the media highlighted the footfall of tourists in J&K, which highest in the past 75 years, indicates the excitement of people from different parts of the country about visiting the Union Territory.

“The peace and security is being ensured in Jammu and Kashmir, thus paving way for the development as well,” she said, adding that under the new industrial policy, the work is going at a rapid pace.

“We are trying our best to boost the economy of people by increasing the export from here,” she said.

Pertinently, Patel, who is on two-day visit to District Ganderbal under the Public Outreach Programme of Central Government, inaugurated and also laid foundation stone of several road projects—(KNO)
