Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has expressed deep concern about the escalating drug menace that is plaguing our society, particularly among the youth.PDP Spokesperson, Tahir Syeed, expressed deep alarm at the rising number of drug-related incidents across Jammu and Kashmir. “The spread of drug addiction in our region has reached alarming levels. It is devastating to witness how our young generation is falling prey to this scourge, which is tearing apart families, ruining lives, and destabilizing our communities,” Syeed stated.The PDP strongly believes that the fight against this menace requires a comprehensive and coordinated approach.Furthermore, Syeed emphasized the importance of community involvement in addressing this crisis. “We must all come together—parents, educators, religious leaders, and civil society—to raise awareness about the dangers of drug addiction. Our youth need guidance, support, and alternatives to ensure they do not fall into the clutches of this deadly vice.” “As a party, we are committed to the well-being of our people and will continue to push for policies and initiatives that protect our youth from this growing threat,” Syeed added.The PDP urges immediate and collective action to stem the tide of this crisis before it further devastates our society.
