Srinagar: Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Monday expressed serious concern over the non-disbursement of the relief to the fruit growers in Kashmir who suffered massive damages due to the recent untimely snowfall.

The PDP Vice President also termed the worsening power scenario in Kashmir as worrisome; stating that the government was ought to take pre-emptive measures to tackle Valley’s power paucity which is taking toll at present.  Veeri said that there are scores of areas in Kashmir wherein people are coerced to reel under darkness as transformers after getting damaged haven’t been repaired yet.  The PDP vice President suggested the present administration to establish Transformer Banks across Valley so that at times of need, the damaged ones are replaced without any delay and people aren’t made to suffer amid the freezing cold.
