SRINAGAR: National Conference leader Nasir Aslam Wani while comment on the abrogation of Article 35A told PTL that the government must defend it in the court to safeguard the special status of the state. He said that even if they (Govt) require finding out some backdoor channel they must do it.
He told PTK, it is a clear attempt to erode the status of state which is not good for the situation in valley. Nasir told that any erosion this will mostly affect the interests of people of Jammu & Ladakh region.
When asked about the alliance government, he said that it is an alliance for chair. “They fought against each other in polls. They fetch votes against each other. Now the situation in the state clearly shows where this government has led us.”
On GST, he said the government assured that the fiscal autonomy will not be affected by its implementation adding then how come they are going to get centers permission for tax exemptions for certain goods and trade. (PTK)
