Srinagar: A 50-year-old, Muhammad Sultan Bhat, an Inspector working with the Power Development Department (PDD) was electrocuted to death on Monday when he was repairing electric line in Sheeri area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
Muhammad Sultan Bhat, son of Gh Nabir Bhat, resident of Sheeri Narvaw in Baramulla district was repairing an electric wire at Sheeri when he received an electric shock from a high tension line at receiving station Sheeri and fell on the ground, witnesses told KNS.
They said Bhat was immediately shifted to PHC Sheeri where doctors declared him brought dead.
Lone was working with PDD Baramulla from last 20 years.
Meanwhile, Junior Engineer JE Rajinder Kumar said, “We have started an investigation into the matter. The details will be shared soon.”
Meanwhile, Police has registered a case and started investigation in this regard. (KNS)
