Pakistani army releases ‘Message of peace’ song in Kashmiri

SRINAGAR : Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the media wing of Pakistan’s armed forces on Monday released a new song in connection with the 78th anniversary of the adoption of the Lahore Resolution.

The theme of the song is ‘Amman ka Nishan Hamara Pakistan’. Besides the national language, Urdu, the song has also been released in all regional languages including Kashmiri.

Interestingly, this is for the first time that the ISPR has released a song in the Kashmiri language. Reiterating the message of peace as its central idea, the song is shot in an enthralling spirit of “patriotism”.

The song’s music has been composed by famed musician Sahir Ali Bagga and its lyrics have been written by poet Imran Raza.

The song has been sung by Shafqat Amanat Ali, Arif Lohar, Asim Azhar, Gul Panrra, Akhtar Chanal Zahri, Mubarak Ali Sawan, Bano Rehmat in Urdu, Punjabi, Sindhi, Pushto, Balochi, Balti and Kashmiri, respectively.

The song’s shooting had taken place at locations that represent and showcase Pakistan. It also pays tribute to the “unwavering support and sacrifices of the Pakistan Army” towards the country and its citizens.

The Kashmiri version of the song go like: “Diluk junoon yus ragan manz jamah chum, dil aaz logovum meh dar chum neh kah, chun khoof kah aase vun dushmanan hund, watnas dimav neh zah gamgeen sapdan…”
