Srinagar: Peoples’ Alliance for Gupkar Declaration (PAGD) on Thursday released fourth list of 16 candidates contesting the final phase of District Development Council (DDC) polls in Jammu and Kashmir.
Of the 16 seats, PDP would be contesting on seven seats followed by JKNC in four, CPI (M) on two and on one each by ANC, JKPC and JKPM, a communique received here reads.
Pertinent to mention here that the PAGD is an amalgam of several Kashmir-based political parties including National Conference, Peoples Democratic Party, Peoples Conference, ANC, CPI(M) and some other regional parties.
The alliance has been seeking restoration of Article 370 and statehood to Jammu & Kashmir. (GNS)
