Bandipora : Over 50 people were quarantined in North Kashmir’s Kupwara district after two women from red zone visited two families in Sogam and Kandi Khas areas.
An official told KNT that a woman from Andrhama red zone crossed jungle to visit a family in Kandi Khas area. “We have quarantined the woman and the members of the family,” he said.
The official added that another woman from the same Andrahama red zone visited a family in Sogam. “That woman along with the family members have also been quarantined.”
Andraham area in Dragmulla Kupwara has been declared red zone after many cases surfaced in the village. Today 4 more cases from the same village emerged. All the contacts of these confirmed cases were quarantined.
Meanwhile, 88 more samples were taken from the district and their reports are awaited. (KNT)
