One way traffic from Jammu to Srinagar allowed on Srinagar-Jammu highway

Srinagar-Jammu highway has been thrown open for one way traffic and traffic was on Sunday morning allowed to ply from Jammu to Srinagar amid forecast of improvement in weather from Sunday till January 10 by the Meteorological department.
Reports said that one way traffic on Jammu-Srinagar highway was Sunday morning allowed from Jammu to Srinagar after the authorities cleared the stranded vehicles from both the side. The only surface link connecting Kashmir with the rest of the country was closed Friday afternoon after fresh snowfall triggered disruptions in the move3of traffic on different spots on Qazigund-Banihal and Banihal-Ramban tracks.
Meanwhile an official of the MeT Office in Srinagar said that weather is likely improve from Sunday till January 10. Srinagar city recorded minus 1.2 degree Celsius, Pahalgam minus 7.9 degree and Gulmarg minus 9 degree as the minimum temperatures on Sunday.
Leh town had minus 10.3 degree and Kargil minus 18.6 as the night’s lowest temperatures.
Jammu city had 7.4 degree Celsius, Katra 9.2, Batote minus 0.8, Bannihal minus 0.5 and Bhaderwah 1.3 as the minimum temperatures. (KNS)
