Reports reaching GNS said that thousands of people participated in the funeral prayers of the deceased Viqas Ahmad Rather at his native village Nowpora Payeen in Lassipora area.
The funeral was held post-Eid prayers during which some militants also appeared and addressed the gathering.
The militants according to reports expressed concern over vandalizing properties of militants and pro-freedom people by forces.
They said that they will reciprocate it by damaging properties of police and other government forces properties in case it was not stopped forthwith.
The militants also offered the gun salute to the slain teenager as well as shouted pro-freedom and pro-Pakistan slogans.
The teenager was killed in firing by the army at Nowpora Payeen, Lasipora while two others including a girl were injured.
Locals of the area had alleged that the troopers raided a number of houses including one of militant’ s house which triggered clashes in the village.
